Thermage FLX®
in Pottsville & Hazleton, PA

What is Thermage FLX®?

Thermage FLX is the newest, latest-generation skin-tightening treatment from Solta Medical — offering non-surgical, non-invasive skin rejuvenation using advanced radiofrequency (RF) technology. It firms, smooths, and tightens skin on the face and body, helping reduce wrinkles, fine lines, sagging, and mild skin laxity.

Unlike older Thermage versions, Thermage FLX delivers energy more efficiently into deeper layers of the skin. This triggers collagen contraction and also stimulates the production of new collagen, leading to gradual skin tightening, improved elasticity, and refreshed contours over time..

Why Choose Thermage FLX (versus older Thermage CPT®) Treatment

Faster treatments. The upgraded “Total Tip” covers more surface area — meaning many sessions are completed up to ~25% quicker than before.

Greater comfort. Built-in cooling, vibration, and Comfort Pulse Technology make the procedure more tolerable and help minimize discomfort, while protecting the skin’s surface.

Tailored energy delivery. The system automatically adjusts energy output in real time based on skin resistance, allowing for safer, more precise treatments customized to each individual’s skin condition.

Quick results + lasting improvements. Many patients see initial skin tightening shortly after treatment; collagen remodeling continues over months, improving firmness, texture, and skin tone — often with results lasting 1 to 2 years (with maintenance).

Safe for many areas and skin types. Thermage FLX works on the face, neck, eyelids, arms, thighs, abdomen — anywhere mild to moderate skin laxity, crepey skin, or volume loss appears. It is suitable for virtually all skin tones.

What Areas Can Be Treated

  • Upper face (including brow and forehead) and eyelids — subtle lifting and tightening, improved texture and fine lines.
  • Lower face, jawline, neck — improved definition, reduction of mild jowling, firmer facial contours.
  • Body areas — arms, abdomen, thighs, hands, knees — to address mild skin laxity, improve skin tone, and reduce the appearance of crepey skin or cellulite.

What to Expect: Procedure & Results

  • The treatment typically takes between 30 to 90 minutes, depending on the area treated.
  • The procedure involves applying a handpiece that delivers RF energy below the skin surface, with protective cooling to safeguard the epidermis. Most patients experience little to no downtime — you can return to regular activities almost immediately.
  • Occasionally, mild redness or slight swelling can occur, but these usually resolve within 24 hours.
  • Some improvement can be visible right after treatment (subtler skin tightening, firmer feel). Optimal results appear gradually over 2–6 months as your skin produces new collagen, leading to smoother texture, firmer contours, and more youthful-looking skin.

Who Is a Great Candidate for Thermage FLX?

  • Early signs of skin laxity (mild to moderate sagging)
  • Fine lines, crepey skin, mild wrinkles
  • Loss of firmness on the face, neck, arms, thighs, abdomen, or other body areas
  • Individuals seeking a non-surgical, low-downtime skin tightening solution with natural-looking results
  • Suitable for nearly all skin types and tones

It’s less ideal if you’re looking for dramatic lifting comparable to a surgical facelift; for moderate to severe skin laxity, a traditional surgical option may still be more effective.
