Keystone Surgery Center (KSC) is a free standing ambulatory surgery facility which includes two (2) operating suites, three (3) pre-operative and recovery bays and one (1) step-down unit. Founded in 2003, KSC has been continuously licensed by the State of Pennsylvania and certified by Medicare to perform ambulatory surgery on adults (> 18 years of age) since 2003 and pediatric patients (6 months to 17 years of age) since 2006. KSC has also maintained continuous National Accreditation by the Accreditation Association for Ambulatory Health Care, Inc. (AAAHC) since 2004. Considered the leader in ambulatory health care accreditation, the AAAHC currently accredits over 3,800 facilities. Accreditation by the AAAHC ensures that our ambulatory surgery center adopts the best practices in health care and complies with all nationally-recognized health and safety standards. This accreditation is also recognized by medical societies, health insurance companies and both state and federal government agencies.
Offering state-of-the-art care, Keystone Surgery Center represents an ideal environment for any cosmetic or reconstructive surgery which you may be considering. We provide safety and comfort in a cost-effective, completely confidential setting. Your anesthesia will be administered by a licensed anesthesia provider who specializes in the administration of anesthesia in an ambulatory (outpatient) setting under the supervision of a board certified medical physician. Following your surgery and a brief post-operative recovery period, our staff will transfer you to the waiting vehicle of your friend or family member through a discrete private exit located beneath a protective canopy.
Keystone Surgery Center and the care provided by our staff and Dr. Kimmel have been the subject of praise by thousands of our satisfied patients (see ‘Testimonials’).
