Professional skincare treatments provide teens and adults the assistance they need to maximize the health of their skin. Today, we’ve got numerous technologies and devices that help us remove dead and damaged cells, unwanted veins, unwanted hair, and the many signs of sun damage. There is an old saying that applies to skin treatments, though. It goes, “the right thing at the wrong time becomes the wrong thing.” To make sure you get the maximum benefit from your chosen skin treatment, consider these pointers.
When Winter is the Best Time for Treatment
Generally, professionals recommend scheduling deeper treatments and those that create photosensitivity for the winter months. These include but are not limited to:
Laser hair removal. Removing unwanted hair using lasers is a process that takes several months. The good news is that hair growth decreases after the very first treatment. However, Winter (or even Autumn) is an excellent time to begin because the laser is more effective when skin is lighter and hair is a bit darker.
Vein treatment. Sclerotherapy is not a laser treatment but is still one that many people prefer to have in the Wintertime. After sclerotherapy, the treatment area may look bruised. Compression garments are also advised for a week or two, which can be uncomfortable during hot, humid weather.
Skin Treatments Good for the Entire Year
Fortunately, the list of Wintertime-only treatments is quite short. The following treatments can be obtained any time of year.
Microneedling. This treatment creates tiny punctures in the upper layers of the skin. Why? To bring in more collagen and elastin!
Mild to medium chemical peels. We offer a wide selection of chemical peels to address multiple concerns at once. Chemical peels cause the uppermost layer of dead and damaged skin cells to slough off, sometimes with nothing more than minor flaking.
Laser skin rejuvenation. Here, as well, there are multiple options. Laser devices allow us to customize treatment to the individual. Highly-selective light energies can target pigmented cells and blood vessels to brighten the skin. Sublative rejuvenation can correct severe sun damage and skin laxity. Finally, Triniti treatment combines technologies to achieve noticeable results with minimal downtime.

“The services and care were excellent. There is no way to improve on the services and care at this surgical center. They are absolutely outstanding. Dr Kimmel was kind and took the time to explain everything thoroughly, and so was his entire staff kind and caring. I have nothing bur praise for all of them.”
