“Spider” veins are small dilated blood vessels on the skin surface most commonly seen on the face and legs.  Utilizing intense pulsed light (IPL) technology, Prolite® treatments provide an effective, safe and relatively painless method for eradicating unsightly spider veins.  Following application of a topical anesthetic cream, Prolite® treatment involves passage of an intense beam of light over the spider veins, resulting in vein shrinkage and ultimate collapse.  These treatments are quickly performed in a comfortable office setting and require no subsequent “down time”.  The result:  a beautiful, consistent skin color without the embarrassing spider veins.
